Celebrating one year with The Yard’s very first members
A milestone is reached, one year with our fantastic members at The Yard, and soon two whole years of testing The Yard concept at Lindholmen. The first members to join the community was the company Intended Future and CEO Kostas Stylidis.
– This has been a fantastic year, full of work. We’ve seen the transformation of The Yard and it is a great transformation. The community host and the team are doing a great work, listening to our requests and continuously improving the facilities, says Kostas Stylidis.

Where software meets hardware
In the heart of Scandinavia’s mobility center, Lindholmen, we are creating a new tech arena for startups and technology-driven companies. Here we offer coworking combined with a uniqe workshop hall where software meets hardware. Here Kostas and Intended Future bring in physical cars and collect visual data for their AI models training and for the perceived quality assessments.
– For us, The Yard’s facilities and space are the most critical factors. We are in the middle of the car design and engineering hotspots around Lindholmen. Volvo AB, Geely Design Studio, Zeekr Technology, Polestar, AFRY Experience Studios, and many others are literally just across the road. Having access to a space the size of a dockyard, which it was before, is priceless, says Kostas Stylidis.
Next location
Right now another old shipyard buildning in the area is developing to be the next location for The Yard. The buildning is called Utrustningsverkstaden and is located righ next to the river side at Lindholmen among the old historic harbour cranes.
– We are happy and exited to move to the new location where we can offer our current and new members a bigger workshop hall, much more space at the coworking area and also private offices, says Melina Gardhed, Project manager, The Yard and Älvstranden Utveckling AB.
The members are also exited for the new beginning.
– We see that the number of members is growing, and since we’re the company that still needs a lot of space, we are considering the next move to Utrustningsverkstaden, says Kostas Stylidis.
The Yard is a initiativ by us, the real estate company Älvstranden Utveckling AB who owns the buildings, and Lindholmen Science Park together with Business Region Göteborg.
